This is a really rural walk taking in seven farms. Conditions of paths are variable - some good, some not so good. One crop field had not had a path cut through, which has been reported, so hopefully will not be a recurring problem.

Start the walk with your back to the main church door and turn right, walking on grass. A few paces after passing some graves on your right turn left on a green path with open fields both sides. You will soon come to a road. Turn left and you will come to a footpath sign on your right with another sign say ‘The Ranch’. Turn right walking on a gravel drive.

You will then come to a black gate – go through this and carry straight on in the same direction, with a black railing fence to your left. You will then come to another black iron railing gate – go through this, continuing in the same direction on a green path across open fields. You will soon have a wood to your left, just carry on in the same direction.

When you reach a road turn left and when you come to a footpath sign to your right, turn right, walking on a farm track with trees to your left. After about 50 yards the track will cease but carry on in the same direction on a green path with trees to your left. At the field boundary on your right turn right for about ten paces then turn left, walking across a wooden footbridge and continue straight on in the same direction on a path with the same trees to your left.

When you come to this field boundary maintain direction, crossing a wooden footbridge walking on a green path with trees to your left. You will come out on to a road, cross this and carry straight on, on another road. Ignore a restricted byways sign pointing left and continue along the road. Roughly after 400 yards turn left on a farm track, unsigned at the time of walking, with a ditch and trees to your right. When you come to the field boundary on your left, turn right with the track, walking on across open fields.

Turn left when you come to a road and at a T-junction of roads turn left. When you come to another T-junction turn left, signposted Thelnetham and Market Weston, and immediately turn right by a byways sign, walking on a green path with a field to your right. When the path becomes a green track carry on in the same direction across open fields. Ignore a footpath sign to your right, carry straight on and you will quickly come to another footpath sign to your right. Turn left on a path with trees to your right.

At the field boundary on your left carry on in the same direction down some overgrown steps and at the bottom turn left on to a road. At a T-junction of roads turn left, signposted Market Weston and Barningham. Turn right at a footpath sign on a path with a ditch and hedge to your right. About 20 yards before you come to a telegraph pole turn right across a wooden footbridge and once across turn left, walking on a wide green track with trees to your left.

At a footpath sign on your left carry straight on across a field (at the time of walking this field had not got a path cut through), aiming for the right-hand side of a gap in the hedge on the other side of the field. Once across the field by a footpath sign carry straight on in the same direction with trees to your right, soon crossing a footbridge. Turn left on a green path with a ditch to your left.

You will eventually come out on to a crossroad of tracks. Carry on in the same direction along a green track. Turn left at a footpath sign to your left, on a path with a hedge to your right. You will then come to a footpath sign to your right, turn left walking on a green path with open fields both sides.

You will then come to another footpath sign on a fence post to your left, go through the gap in the fence and turn right walking on a path with a tall hedge to your right. At another footpath sign on your right, turn left with the path you are already on having a hedge to your right. You will soon come to another footpath sign to your left, turn left here going through a kissing gate and you will come out onto a road. Turn left, soon passing The Old Chimneys Brewery to your left (opening times Fridays 2-7pm and Saturdays 11am to 2pm). You will soon be back to the church from where you started.
