Ann and Andy Formoy, from Ardleigh, held an all-day raffle and barbecue at A Willsher and Son in London Road and made at least £1,000 for the charity.
The couple have been recently joined a the business by their son Craig, daughter Cara and daughter-in-law Danielle.
They now sell cooked food as well as raw meat.
Mr Formoy said: “The decision to raise money for the Hospice was easy as Ann’s Dad spent the last few weeks of his life there and it is an amazing place.
“We usually raise about £1,000 a year for them by asking customers to donate in exchange for bones for their dogs, and we wanted to do something extra to mark this anniversary.
“When we told people the raffle was for the Hospice, we were overwhelmed with donations of prizes.”
