AN URGENT appeal has gone out to find a marquee that went missing from the Suffolk Show.

Foster Care Associates' (FCA) marquee and tables were last seen at the Trinity Park showground on Thursday.

The heavy canvas blue and white marquee, which measures four-and-a-half metres by three metres, is heavily branded with the FCA logo.

It was used for an information stand held by Eastern region staff to attract more carers. A specially designed backdrop promoting care for young people has also gone missing.

“We are absolutely devastated that anyone would want to take the FCA marquee,” said Kim Selfe, recruitment officer at FCA.

“With the huge national shortfall of foster carers, FCA is continually staging events and information days to encourage others to consider taking up this worthwhile role.

“Without our marquee we are limited in the events we can stage. I am saddened that anyone would want to hinder the work of FCA which is so vitally important in caring for some of sociey's most troubled youngsters."

Anyone who has information relating to the missing FCA marquee should contact Kim Selfe on 01702 421155.
