A motorist is in hospital after being cut free by firefighters from a three-vehicle crash on the A12 near Martlesham.
Emergency crews were called to the collision between the A1214 Main Road and B1438 Ipswich Road at 3.05pm today.
Fire crews cut free a motorist who was taken to Ipswich Hospital with back and neck injuries not thought to be life threatening, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
The road was partially closed before reopening shortly before 3.40pm, the force spokesman added. Congestion reportedly stretched back to Adastral Park.
The incident involved a Kia Picanto, a Ford Transit and a Fiat Qubo.
