AN OIL spill has forced a lane to close on the A12 southbound in Martlesham.
The incident happened around 11.15am between the BT and Tesco roundabout.
A police spokeswoman said there had been reports of a lot of oil in the road.
Slow traffic was building on the road between the A1214 Main Road and Eagle Way.
Road crews from the county council are at the scene and are clearing the road.
