A MEMBER of staff was threatened by a man with a claw hammer during a robbery tonight.
A MEMBER of staff was threatened by a man with a claw hammer during a robbery tonight.
A man, who had his face completely covered, demanded money from the terrified member of staff in the One Shop in Sands Lane, Oulton, just after 6.30pm.
No-one was injured in the robbery and the man fled after being handed a quantity of money.
He is described as being 5ft7 of slim to medium build with a local accent. He was wearing either a balaclava or a scarf, which completely covered his face, and a black jacket with blue jeans.
There was no customers in the shop but police are hoping he may have been seen fleeing the scene.
