The mayor of Stowmarket is inviting people to attend the town's carol service to truly get into the Christmas spirit.
Councillor Dave Muller says the Stowmarket town carol service – which takes place at St Peter and St Mary’s Church on Sunday, December 17 – is a “magical event”.
People will be able to sing carols among the hundreds of beautifully decorated trees in the church, which are part of the town’s Christmas tree festival.
There will also be the chance to hear the Christmas story retold and see the twinkling star of the nativity scene.
Mince pies will be served after the service.
Mr Muller said: “What better way to start the final week of the Christmas countdown?
“It is a truly magical event which never fails to get me in the mood for Christmas. I would like to extend a warm invitation to all to attend what should be a wonderful rousing festive occasion.”
