Margaret Marks was invited to the start of Hardwick Primary School’s Healthy Living Week and picked up her tennis racket to celebrate the launch of the new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).

The new MUGA allows children to take part in activities in all conditions and weathers.

Daryl Jones, headteacher, said: “We encourage our children to be active, fit and healthy and having this facility enables us to provide outdoor sports throughout the year, so we are not confined to the playground in the winter months.

“The MUGA is used all time for PE lessons and by our sports coaches at lunchtime, where up to 200 pupils per week are participating in a lunchtime sports club.
