A man who was recently honoured has recieved another prize to help him carry out his dreams.
Neil Boast, from Woodbridge, a recent recipient of an MBE for services to policing as part of the New Year’s Honours list, won a Drift HD Camera and an Apple iPad as part of the ‘12 Dreams of Christmas’ competition by motorcycle insurers Bennetts.
Mr Boast, a ride assessor for Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers (SERV) Blood Bikes, a charity which delivers blood to hospitals, entered the competition so he could give his pupils improved feedback after filming and instructing them out on the roads.
He said: “I’m just absolutely overwhelmed.
“I put in for the dream thinking, ‘oh, I won’t win that!’”
“I’ve ridden a motorbike since my dad put me on a field bike when I was about six years old and I just can’t get them out of my system.
“I’ll never stop riding motorbikes, I used to be a police motorcyclist.
“My wife is over the moon, she’s absolutely chuffed!”
