Team manager John Sampford told the Herald: "He's got to see the doctor again but he is hoping the doctor will sign him off to start racing again at the beginning of next month."
The hand injury Mear sustained while riding for Lakeside Hammers in the Elite League has already cost the 19-year-old a possible place in the World Under-21 Final.
Therefore, he'll be anxious to get back into the saddle as soon as possible.
