A balaclava-clad robber threatened a female member of staff at a Colchester post office yesterday before stealing a three-figure sum of cash.
Essex Police are appealing for witnesses or information about the robbery, which took place around 6.50pm.
A man went into the post office in Ipswich Road and threatened a female member of staff with what is believed to have been a screwdriver, before stealing a three-figure sum of cash. He then rode off on a white mountain bike.
He is described as at least 6ft tall, wearing a dark green coat, dark-coloured trousers, a dark-coloured balaclava covering his face and dark-coloured gloves.
