A memory box containing trinkets commemorating a dead child has been stolen by a heartless burglar.
A home in Valentines Drive, Colchester, was broken into between 3.30am and 4.30am on November 26 via an insecure front door.
The female occupier had gone out in her car to settle her 10-month-old daughter, leaving her husband and other child asleep at home.
When she returned she discovered a number of sentimental items had been stolen.
A memory box with Athena Skye written on top was taken. It contained keepsakes, including a white feather, a poem, a rose quartz angel statue and a baby’s hospital identity band, and was related to the woman’s daughter who died in February last year.
Her wedding ring was also taken.
The box has no monetary value but is of huge sentimental importance.
Anyone with any information should contact Detective Constable Charlotte Bailey at Colchester CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
