The heads of the three wise men were broken off.

Suffolk Constabulary are appealing for witnesses after a nativity scene at a Suffolk church was damaged.

The incident happened at some point over night between 5pm on January 5 and 8.30am on January 6 at St Mary’s Church on Church Road in Mendlesham.

The head was broken off the three wise men, who each stand about one foot tall and were left on the ground.

Anyone with information or who witnessed any suspicious activity should contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting crime reference 37/1202/17.
