Suffolk and Essex are set for a welcome burst of spring sunshine today - following the cold, wet weather of recent days.

Forecaster Alex Deakin said: “There will be some spring sunshine for many of us – a bit of blue sky out there.

“But it’s not exactly shorts weather. It is a pretty chilly start to Tuesday with temperatures falling away with the clear skies overnight.

“Might be a bit misty in places too. But it’s going to be a drier and much brighter day across East Anglia and the South East.”

Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 14C this afternoon - up to 10C higher than yesterday’s unseasonably cold end to April.
