FIREFIGHTERS were called after chimney blaze broke out in a thatched home.
Crews attended the scene at a property in Harleston Road, Metfield, shortly after 9.30am.
On arrival the four pumps tackled the fire using two hose reel jets.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said that there had been fears that the blaze could have potentially spread to the thatch, however it was kept under control.
The fire was brought under control by 10.25am.
