Four tonnes of baled straw caught fire at a farm in Mettingham this evening.
Firefighters from Bungay were called to the blaze in Low Road at about 6.30pm.
With help from the farmer, the crew made a “fire break” to protect the rest of the hay stack.
A crew from Bury St Edmunds later extinguished a grass fire in Icklingham Road, West Stow, which broke out around 8pm
And firefighters from Wickhambrook attended a motorcycle fire in Chestnut Road, Stradishall at around 8.10pm.
