Mike Western, 65, is a pensioner living with his wife and son in Ipswich.
Before he retired, he was head of conservation at the British Library – regularly travelling from his Ipswich home to London, the family have lived in Ipswich since 1989.
His 25-year-old son has moderate learning difficulties and has been unable to find work.
He said: “The last five years have been problematic regarding my son’s situation, going through the nightmare of dealing with Atos when his entitlement to benefits was reassessed.
“Also we are experiencing a lot of problems in finding independent living arrangements for him.
“Financially we are fine as I have a good occupational pension although the carer’s allowance which I received was stopped when I reached pensionable age.”
Mike voted LibDem at the last general election, but he remains undecided about who to vote for this time around – he will be following the campaigning and seeing what the parties are saying before deciding how to vote..
