A man has been detained in connection with two attempted street robberies which are alleged to have taken place in west Suffolk this afternoon.
Suffolk police said officers were investigating the alleged offences, which are said to have happened in the Ship Gardens and St Andrew’s Street areas of Mildenhall at around 4pm,
A man in his 30s has been detained and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A spolice spokesman said: Members of the local community may have noticed an increased police presence around the time of these incidents but would like to reassure members of the public that we are not looking for anyone else at this time in relation to these offences.
Anyone who witnessed the alleged offences taking place is asked to call Suffolk Constabulary on 101 quoting cad SC-13122017-252.
