A woman is in hospital after suffering minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash which caused delays for commuters in west Suffolk.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were sent to the Fiveways roundabout near Mildenhall following reports of a collision involving a Ford Fiesta and a Vauxhall Astra at 7.40am today.
A female driver sustained neck and back injuries not believed to be serious but has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds for “precautionary checks”, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
Police closed the A1101 Mildenhall Road near the roundabout, prompting traffic congestion in the area.
Both vehicles were recovered by 8.40am and the road reopened.
