A LIFEBOAT rescue team was sent out today after it was reported a seven-year-old girl went missing on the beach in Aldeburgh.
The Aldeburgh RNLI Inshore Life Boat and the coastguards began a search for the girl at 12.52pm, but they were stood down after she was found by her mother at 1.08pm.
A spokeswoman for Thames Coastguard said the girl had wandered off to look for the famous Scallop statue on the beach.
