A missing man from north Essex has been found and taken to hospital to be checked over, police said.
John Wrathall, of Mistley, was reported missing to Essex Police at 4.30pm yesterday. The force launched a search appeal for the 50-year-old and he was found this morning in Tendring.
In a statement, an Essex Police spokesman said: “Thanks to a member of the public, police officers in Tendring have located a man reported missing from his home in Mistley.
“John Wrathall was found in the local area this morning and is being taken to hospital to be checked over.
“Media and the public are thanked for their help with this incident.”
