A moped rider has been injured in a crash in Thorpe-le-Soken.
Police closed Landermere Road in the village while emergency services dealt with the scene this morning.
Paramedics were called at 8.56am, and the ambulance service sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and an officer.
The female moped rider was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment to back, upper body and leg injuries.
Her injuries were described as minor by a police spokesman.
