POLICE were today appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a van.
The 25-year-old came off his blue Suzuki bike on Rayne Road, Braintree, after the crash involving a white Renault van just after 10pm last night.
Essex police said he was treated at the scene and then taken to Broomfield Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The van driver, a 53-year-old man from Braintree, suffered a minor head injury but did not need hospital treatment.
A police spokeswoman asked for anyone who was driving in the area at the time and saw either vehicle to contact PC Alex Crane on 0300 334444.
