A motorcyclist has been confirmed dead after a crash in west Suffolk last night.
The collision happened in Eriswell Road, Lakenheath, shortly after 10.05pm yesterday, and involved a motorbike and a silver BMW X5.
The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds for critical care.
Police confirmed this morning that he had died.
The road was closed in both directions, at the junction with The Street at Holywell Row, and with the B1112, The Street, Lakenheath, but has now reopened.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said two rapid response vehicles, two ambulance crews and a Magpas Air Ambulance response car attended.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team, quoting incident reference number 427 of Sunday 30 July.
