A MOTORCYCLIST was killed after his bike was in collision with a minibus in Colchester this morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal crash which happened in Roman Way at about 8.35am.
A red Ford Transit minibus driven by a local man, 27, was in collision with an Aprilia RSV motorcycle ridden by a 34-year-old man, also from the Colchester area.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The minibus driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and is on police bail until September while police carry out an investigation.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have seen either vehicle before the crash, to contact Stanway Road Policing Unit on 0300 333 4444 ext 13145.
