Jake Page, from Great Waldingfield, died following a collision which involved two cars on Melford Road on Friday.

The 19-year-old was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with life-threatening injuries following the collision, but later died.

Suffolk police said Jake’s family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this very difficult time.

His family has also requested that well-wishers refrain from leaving roadside tributes to Jake at the scene of the crash.

Police were called around 6.40pm to reports of a collision involving a Yamaha motorcycle, a grey Toyota Corolla and a black BMW, near the Bay Horse pub.

The road was closed in both directions for a crash investigation to take place and was reopened at midnight.

Many people have taken to social media to pay tribute to Jake, including Zest gym in Sudbury, where he was a member.

A post on Zest’s Facebook page from an instructor read: “Our thoughts go out to all of Jake Page’s friends and family.

Another wrote: “So so sad, lovely lad, so kind and will be truly missed.”

Sue Ayres, deputy mayor of Sudbury, said: “I feel so desperately sorry for all the family.

“It affects so many people, family, friends, people he went to school with, it’s such a terrible thing.

“It’s so tragic that his life has been taken at such a young age and my thoughts are with all his family and friends at this sad time.”

Any witnesses to the collision or anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101, quoting incident number 376 of April 6.
