A motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after a serious crash on the A1088 at Elmswell is now in a stable condition.
The rider, a man in his 50s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, by the East Anglian Air Ambulance in a life-threatening condition after the collision at 6.45pm on Saturday.
Suffolk police closed the road for several hours for investigation work after the crash between a Citroen car and a Honda motorcycle.
Police are appealing for witnesses to this collision. Anyone with information should ring 101.
