One person has suffered minor injuries following a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on a street in Old Newton.

Police are at the scene of a road traffic collision on the B1113 following a collision between a Honda motorcycle and Pergeot car.

Officers were called shortly before 8.30am today with reports of a crash in Old Newton, near Stowmarket.

The ambulance service was also called to the scene where the motorcyclist is being treated for suspected hand and face injuries.

A spokesperson for Suffolk police said the road is partially blocked, but motorists should be fine to pass if they approach the scene with care.
