A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition last night after a crash in Gorleston.

The incident involved a motorcycle and a car and happened just after 7pm.

A volunteer critical care paramedic from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) was sent to the scene along with paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service.

There the two teams treated the male motorcyclist, who is in his 40s, for multiple life-threatening injuries.

He was then taken to the James Paget Hospital by land ambulance.
