Firefighters rescued a motorist in Chelmsford following a two vehicle crash on Chelmer Valley Road.
Two crews from Chelmsford attended the crash, after Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were notified of the crash at 3.51pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “Firefighters released a casualty trapped following a two vehicle collision.
“Using one set of specialist cutting equipment they had released them by 4.24pm.”
