The fire service had to cut free three motorists tonight following two separate accidents on Suffolk's roads.

The fire service had to cut free three motorists tonight following two separate accidents on Suffolk's roads.

The first happened in Pound Lane, Little Blakenham, at around 8pm and involved a Ford Mondeo and a Mini.

A fire crew from nearby Needham Market and another two from Ipswich attended and released one male and one female casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment.

They were taken to hospital and a spokesman for Suffolk police said they suffered minor injuries.

The second accident happened at around 8.40pm in Coast Road, Corton, near Lowestoft, and involved a Ford Ka.

Three appliances from Normanshurst attended and used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one female casualty.
