Motorists urged to avoid A14 near Newmarket after car and lorry crash

A car and a lorry have collided on the A14 near Newmarket, causing substantial delays to motorists.

The incident occurred on the A14 westbound close to the junction with the A11 southbound, shortly before 10.15am.

It involved a Vauxhall Antara and a Mercedes HGV.

No-one is thought to have been injured.

The vehicles are still awaiting recovery and Cambridgeshire police are advising motorists to avoid the area and to find alternative routes.
