A former food store in Woodbridge is set to become home to a high street outdoor shop.
The old Co-Op store on the Thoroughfare will re-open next year as a Mountain Warehouse.
Malcolm McNeill, Head of UK Retail for Mountain Warehouse, said: “We are thrilled to be opening a Mountain Warehouse store in Woodbridge next year, and also delighted to announce we will be recruiting locally in the area for 8 members of staff to join the Mountain Warehouse team.”
As well as the new store four flats will be created in the grade II listed building which has been empty for over a year.
Nick Denny, Joint Chief Executive for the East of England Co-op, said: “We’re very pleased to be welcoming Mountain Warehouse to the Thoroughfare. Having been a part of Woodbridge for a number of years we want to see the high street thrive and feel Mountain Warehouse is a great fit.”
