Murder probe launched in Ipswich
A MAN is being questioned on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman was found in an Ipswich house.
A MAN is being questioned on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman was found in an Ipswich house.
The 37-year-old man was arrested by armed police on Stoke Bridge in Ipswich at around 5.30pm on Friday.
Police were called to a property in Duke Street in the town at 12.40pm on Friday following reports that a woman had been found collapsed with injuries.
When police officers and paramedics got to the scene the woman was dead and had head injuries and other wounds to her body.
The death is being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.
The property is currently cordoned off as police carry out their investigations.

The identity of the woman and her age cannot be confirmed by police until a formal identification has been carried out.
