ANDY Murray’s Wimbledon preparations have been thrown into disarray after he was dumped out of the AEGON Championships at Queen’s with a three-set defeat to Nicolas Mahut.

The Scot, who was handed a bye into the second round, was second best throughout the match as World No. 65 Mahut performed superbly to book himself a last-16 tie with Grigor Dimitrov.

The Frenchman recorded a 6-3 6-7 (4) 7-6 (1) victory to raise further questions about Murray’s chances of Wimbledon glory.

With defending champion Novak Djokovic and recently crowned seven-time French-Open champion, Rafael Nadal, in scintilating form, the British No.1’s chances of success at the All England Club are surely wafer-thin at best.
