Mystery attack on woman
POLICE in Clacton are investigating a violent and unprovoked assault on a woman in Clacton.The victim, aged in her 40s, was about to enter an office in Russell Road at about 10:30am on Friday when a man came up behind her and punched her in the side of her head.

POLICE in Clacton are investigating a violent and unprovoked assault on a woman in Clacton.
The victim, aged in her 40s, was about to enter an office in Russell Road at about 10:30am on Friday when a man came up behind her and punched her in the side of her head.
The attacker did not say anthing, did not otherwise touch her and ran off towards Skelmersdale Road.
The woman was left with swelling and reddening to the side of her face and was very shaken by the incident.
The man is described as white, about 25-30 years old, 6ft tall and of proportionate build with short dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket and dark blue jeans.

Investigating officer Pc Daniel Macey said: “The woman was very startled and stunned. It is a very strange incident as it appears to be a case of mistaken identity.
“I do, however, want to find this man as his behaviour was totally unacceptable.”
