National: Murder inquiry after man found dead

A MURDER inquiry was launched today after a dying man was found in the back of a van by police.

Armed officers acting on a tip-off pulled over a white van in Sunningdale, Berkshire, and found the fatally injured man inside.

When the van was stopped at about 1pm four men tried to escape. Three were quickly arrested but officers had to use a helicopter to find the fourth man,

Superintendent Richard Humphrey of Thames Valley Police said: “Despite attempts to revive the man found inside the Mercedes Sprinter he died at the scene.

“The four arrested men are being held on suspicion of murder and are in police custody.”
