NAYLAND residents will have a chance to unearth hidden objects, possibly dating back hundreds of years, when an archaeological team visits the village in October.
The project will be run by TV archaeologist Carenza Lewis, and will involve digging up to 20 test pits in gardens and open spaces. Nayland with Wissington Conservation Society is co-ordinating the event, and is calling for volunteers to take part in the dig.
Finds will be washed, recorded, retained for analysis and then returned to the owners.
