A lorry blaze on the A14 was tackled by firefighters in the morning rush hour.
Crews were called to the A14 westbound near Needham Market following reports a tyre of a lorry, parked in a lay-by, was on fire.
Smoke reportedly drifted across the dual carriageway, worsening foggy conditions for drivers, before it was extinguished by 7.20am.
A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find one lorry well alight and got to work using two sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel to tackle the fire which was affecting the rear wheels of the trailer.”
