More than a dozen calls were made to Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service to reports of a large fire in the early hours of this morning.

Fire control received 14 calls reporting the blaze in Stowmarket Road, Needham Market, just after 2.50am.

A crew from Needham Market and another from Stowmarket were sent to the scene and found a wheelie bin on fire before the Stowmarket crew were redirected to a car fire in Ludbrook Close off Stowmarket Road.

Both fires were brought under control by 3.20am and are believed to have been started deliberately.
