New plea over zoo animal killings
POLICE in Lowestoft have renewed their appeal for information after animals were killed at a family zoo.
Dozens of rabbits and chickens were killed by intruders at Pets Corner in Oulton Broad overnight on April 19 but police are still trying to find out who was responsible.
A Suffolk police spokesman said: “Officers are following up a number of leads in connection with the incident. A 22-year-old man was interviewed by officers but he faces no further action.”
Since the break-in, a community campaign has helped to raise thousands of pounds for the installation of CCTV at the attraction, and schools, business and community groups have given to help repair some of the damage caused.
Anyone with information should contact Lowestoft police on 01986 835300.
