An Ipswich school has anounced a key appointment for the start of the new academic year in September.

Jamie Daniels will take over as the head of school at Ormiston Endeavor Academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), from Christine Woods, who will be stepping down at the end of the summer term.

Leadership capacity will also be boosted by Caroline Wilson, an experienced OAT principal, who will now oversee three OAT academies in the region as executive principal. Mrs Wilson will support Mr Daniels and the senior leadership team to ensure the academy remains on course for its aim to be outstanding.

Mr Daniels, recently vice principal at a local secondary school, said: “I’m looking forward to working closely with staff, students, parents and the whole school community to build on the academy’s success and to ensure that it continues to strive to be outstanding in everything it does.”
