More than 30 people turned out for the opening of a boules rink at The Riverside Centre on Saturday.
Funds for the petanque piste, a variation of boules, were generated through the locality budget of former Suffolk Coastal District councillor Philip Dunnet, who officially opened the rink. A bumper crowd turned out to learn how to play the game.
Riverside Centre Social Club Committee member Debbi Tayler said: “The committee would like to thank councillor Dunnett. This is an important new facility for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy an increasingly popular sport.”
