A 79-year-old man has admitted speeding at 103mph on the A12 in Suffolk.

Frank Steel, of Mill Road, Newbourne, near Martlesham, had his licence endorsed with six penalty points when he appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates Court yesterday.

Steel was also fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs as well as £25 to the victims’ fund.

His Ford Mondeo was caught travelling at 33mph above the speed limit on the dual carriageway near Wickham Market at just before noon on May 12.
