Police are appealing for witnesses to a road collision which left a pedestrian with a broken leg.
The crash happened in Newmarket on Monday afternoon.
Suffolk Constabulary said a black Ford Mondeo was travelling towards the town centre when it was in collision with a male pedestrian.
The crash is understood to have happened outside the Racing Centre, in Fred Archer Way, at 3.35pm.
The pedestrian, who was in his late 50s, was thrown into the side of a white stationary and unattended Ford transit van.
He sustained a fractured ankle and shattered knee and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police closed part of the road for several hours
