A man smashed a window with a plant pot when challenged by a householder for standing in his front garden.

The victim saw the man and challenged him through the kitchen window.

The suspect then ran up to the window, hit the glass with his hand, before throwing the plant pot causing the window to shatter.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Friday October 10 at a house in Periman Close, Newmarket.

Suffolk Police have issued an e-fit of the suspect.

The man is was white, aged in his early 20s, around 5ft 7in tall, and with a thick head of hair.

He was wearing a black long-sleeved Adidas top with three stripes down each arm, black bottoms and black Nike trainers with a red swoosh.
