A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said they were called at 3.20pm about the accident near Brickfields Avenue.
She said the male rider of the motorbike, which was involved in a collision with a black Ford Fiesta, had been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was assessed by crews, but had no obvious injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
