A man is in hospital with serious arm and leg injuries after falling from his horse on the gallops in Newmarket.
Medics from the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the incident in Newmarket just after 8am this morning.
Having landed at the gallops near the Rowley Mile Racecourse, the air ambulance’s Dr Tim Lightfoot and Captain Gary Spitzer treated the man at the scene before escorting him to Addenbrookes Hospital in a land ambulance.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
