A couple came to the rescue of a six-year-old girl who was approached by a man.
The man came up to the child and held out his hand for her between 6pm-6.30pm on Wednesday in Periman Close.
At this point a couple who were walking by intervened and the man walked off.
Police are keen to speak to the man and woman who helped the victim as they may be able to assist with the investigation.
