Newmarket: Traffic problems after horse receives suspected broken leg after collision with car

Traffic was brought to a standstill in Newmarket today after a collision between a car and a horse.

The incident happened in Bury Road at about 11.50am yesterday. The horse suffered a suspected broken leg in the incident.

The occupants of the car, a blue Ford Galaxy were not injured in the collision.

The incident slowed traffic travelling along the road and recovery had to be arranged for the vehicle.

Police were called to the scene soon after the collision and the vehicle was recovered at about 12.30pm.
